Let Them Learn Atlanta
In November 2023, Let Them Learn and partner Deutsch-Amerikanisches Institut Nürnberg ventured to Nuremberg's twin city, Atlanta, in order to delve into the realm of human rights. Amid the city's hustle and rich history as a catalyst to the civil rights movement, we cultivated a deep understanding of human rights among both student and educators, exploring the shared values that bind us as global citizens.
Human Rights and the Environment

In this workshop, students get to explore the history of their human rights and relate this to the role current environmental campaigns play in affecting these rights. Human Rights and The Black Lives Matter Movement
In this very interactive workshop, we will explore the history of human rights violations during various protests and move into present-day protests with a focus on the Black Lives Matter movement. We will focus on ways in which protestors and journalists were treated and how governments responded to the (often peaceful) citizens who were present in the streets, actualizing their rights. We will compare the BLM movement in the USA to protests here in Germany and look at the ways in which government responses were received.
